TAPNET is a non-profit organization, that is independent of the licensing boards, Texas Department of State Health Serves (DSHS) and the Texas Certification Board (TCB).

TAPNET maintains approval from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the Texas Certification Board (TCB) to sustain operation ability.

Texas state law provides Civil Immunity (protection) for all reports made in good faith and for all employers who work with TAPNET counselors in good faith.
